Welcome to the HARBOR homepage. HARBOR ("High Altitude Reconnaissance Balloon for Outreach and Research") is a high altitude balloon system designed to be a near-space platform for student and amateur research projects in science and engineering.

HARBOR has its roots in a sister program: BOREALIS, which is operated by the Montana Space Grant Consortium. Much of the design and engineering that forms the baseline design of the HARBOR platform originated in the BOREALIS program.
